Martin Roemers works on long term projects centered on the human dimension of profound societal changes. In his new project Homo Mobilis he explores what a vehicle tells us about culture, society and identity.
His worldwide exhibited work resides in various collections including The Getty Center in Los Angeles, The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, The Wende Museum in Los Angeles, MAST in Bologna and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Roemers has published multiple monographs including Homo Mobilis, Metropolis and Relics of the Cold War.
He received two World Press Photo Awards.
